Role: Accountant

Location: Phoenix, AZ (in-office, with remote work flexibility in June and July)

Salary: $70,000 – $95,000 base, DOE + bonus + potential equity.

What You’ll Do:

• Focus on off-balance-sheet entities (fund accounting for 3-4 funds initially), with exposure to on-balance-sheet BDC work as the company grows.
• Handle financial reporting tasks, including GAAP financial statements, SOX 404(b) evidence, and quarterly audit support, tying out financials with precision.
• Assist with monthly closes, account reconciliations, general ledger entries, and vendor payments.
• Collaborate with external co-investment partners, gathering data and managing fund distributions, similar to audit workflows.
• Contribute to process improvements, leveraging tools like Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Business Central) to boost efficiency.

Who You Are:

• 1-3 years of experience, ideally with a public accounting foundation (Big 4, BDO, RSM, Grant Thornton, or Moss Adams; straight from public is fine).
• CPA or in progress highly preferred.
• Curious, athletic, and adaptable—thrives in a fast-changing environment with new entities and evolving frameworks.
• Team player who fits a social, high-energy team where excellence is the standard.
• Strong Excel skills, detail-oriented, and comfortable with GAAP and financial analysis.
